Miracle Treat Day a Huge Success in Southwest Georgia!

Yesterday was Dairy Queen’s 12th annual Miracle Treat Day! On Miracle Treat Day, participating Dairy Queen locations donate $1 or more from every blizzard sold to their local Children’s Miracle Network hospital.

All 15 Dairy Queen locations in the Albany market participated in Miracle Treat Day. Dairy Queens in Albany, Americus, Cordele, Homerville, Moultrie, Tifton, Ashburn, Nashville, Adel, Douglas, Camilla, and Sylvester raised funds for Children’s Miracle Network at Phoebe.

We are so thankful for all the support yesterday! Hundreds of people in Southwest Georgia went to their local Dairy Queen to cool off with a yummy treat, while making a huge impact on the lives of our local kids treated at Phoebe.

A huge congratulations and thank you to our top fundraising store in Homerville, Georgia. Owner Ash Patrawala is passionate about supporting Children’s Miracle Network and he goes above and beyond year after year! The Homerville Dairy Queen raised over $6,000 by selling blizzards, coupon icon balloons, raffle tickets, and hosting a day long carnival complete with games, a dunk booth, and a jumping castle! One of our Miracle families, the Moore family, came out to enjoy this fun day and tell their story with CMN. Meredith and Matthew Moore were both born prematurely and spend many weeks in Phoebe’s NICU. The Moore family had to drive over an hour one way every day to visit Meredith and Matthew in the hospital. Today, Meredith is four and Matthew is nine months old and they are doing very well. “It was one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to go through, and Phoebe’s wonderful care and staff made it a lot easier,” said Kristen Moore, mother.

Yesterday, we saw that a small act, and a small blizzard, can make a huge difference.
