Jingle Bell Jog Supports Children’s Miracle Network!

Phoebe Foundation held their 29th annual Jingle Bell Jog 10K, 5K, and 1 mile fun walk benefitting Children’s Miracle Network on Saturday, December 10. Over 800 participants came out to run or walk in this holiday event. This year, Tift Park Community Market joined the community effort to bring dozens of holiday vendors for entertainment and shopping. The morning began with prayer, the National Anthem, and the 10K race. Jingles, the famous reindeer, cheered on runners at the finish line and brought smiles to everyone’s face. Although it was one of the coldest mornings Albany has seen this season, everyone’s heart was warm from the holiday cheer and great cause they supported. Proceeds from the Jingle Bell Jog will help the NICU at Phoebe purchase a giraffe bed, a highly specialized bed made for the smallest and most fragile infants. This bed is vital for premature infants because it allows the medical team to take care of the baby from the bed and minimize transfers.

We are so thankful for the community’s support of Jingle Bell Jog! For many this event is a holiday tradition, but for our families and children treated at Phoebe, this event brings hope and light in a dark time. This event provides life saving equipment to ensure our local kids have everything they need to get better.
